The Corolla area takes a little bit longer to reach but what a feeling when you get there. Not very commercial and mostly without sidewalks, it’s more on the wild side than Duck’s tidiness if to compare to another town. Just to the north, Corolla Light is a special smaller village loaded with history and worth the walk. You’ll find beautiful beaches all along the shore and many communities offer sound and ocean access. The drive alone on Route 12 is lovely but beware, in the fall you might encounter a deer or two, many rabbits, foxes and too many squirrels. If you are looking to get away and experience the more late back atmosphere Corolla is the place!
